Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Party at the Oceanside Library

Did you know Dr. Seuss would be 113 this year?  While he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the pages of his books. He forever changed the way children’s books were written and continues to inspire generations.

The Oceanside Public Library invites families and children of all ages to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday March 4th, at 2 pm in the Mission Branch Library Community Room, 3861-B Mission Ave.

The library will offer a Dr. Seuss story time, with favorites such as Cat in the Hat, and provide Dr. Seuss themed kids’ crafts, games, and birthday treats.  This will be a nationwide event with more then 45 million readers!  The library is encouraging kids to sign up at any of the Oceanside Public Library locations to participate in a month long Seuss themed reading program beginning March 1st, 2017.  Kids can earn free swag by completing fun, literacy based activities.  Events are free, more information can be found by calling the Oceanside Public Library at (760) 435-5600.
